how exactly can someone watch someone play fantasy football. There is no 'playing' involved. The lineups are set and they watch their phones for 3 days nonstop

You are wrong on so many levels. A terrible parent is a parent who lets their children watch some stranger play video games. The ones that allow it are the ones that neglect their parenting responsibilities. But hey, as long as it keeps the kid occupied for hrs and is out of my hair I will defend it

I watch Minecraft videos to learn how to build things that are advanced like using redstone or making a sphere out of cubed objects.

Letting an 8 year old watch youtube videos of a video game is being a terrible parent?
He is 8 years old.
The kid is watching a video and the dad comes in, shuts off the tv, and forces him to go outside and hit baseballs. Yea thats wonderful parenting. Thats a great way for the kid to hate baseball and his dad later in life.
