I had a boss that moved from Spain to Houston. I guess in Spain they use their horns quite liberally. He got behind someone in Houston traffic and started laying on it for them going too slow. The guy whipped his gun out. Safe to say he never used his horn again.

At this point, if you aren’t prepared to have someone pull a gun, don’t hold down your horn.

People have become stupid.

I agree with Mitch Hedberg's proposal. People should only get a set number of horn blows a month.

Just this morning. Stopped at light, 4 lanes plus turning lanes. Opposing me is a black suv with a lady and behind her a big ole dump truck.

I am going straight but when the lane next to me (protected left turn green arrow) turns green arrow but my light stays red I also know the opposing lane gets their green arrow. We have some sensors so if no opposing turners we get green light faster.

So I watch as the suv lady isn’t moving knowing its green because mine is red, but its been around 3-4 seconds and I’m thinking they are gonna miss the green arrow. Just then the dump truck lays on his air horn and doesn’t stop. He was pissed lol. And the lady, I seen something fly (surprised fly) I think it was her phone as she goes. Ole trucker guy kept on his horn the whole damn turn. I loved it!

Only thing better would be him moving her with his truck and I legit think he thought about it - because he did creep up a bit at first green arrow.

Anytime on a roadway when somebody does something wrong.

In a residential neighborhood, keep it to a minimum.

When I come to pick up your mom in my Camaro I like to honk my horn and wait for her to come out . That way I don’t miss any of that classic rock I’m jamming.

Normally I do not but I just got home and there was an Amazon truck blocking my driveway. I could see the driver texting in the mirror. I honked the horn and he pulled up enough to let me in.

When you pull up to your T-girl's trailer and she's not outside waiting for you to pick her up, it is appropriate to honk the horn to get her attention.

I rarely use mine but I have a friend who added one to his truck that came from a tug boat. Its connected to an air compressor.

He will use it to make cows get out of the way in a pasture.

He did use it to get a crack head who was walking down the middle of the street and wouldnt get out of the way. Just looked back and laughed at us. I think she might have shite herself when it went off. He was about 15 feet from her.

Not a wise move in Texas. shite leads to trouble a lot of time.

That's why not a lot of folks do it here...

Honk at me and you will catch a quick fast...
