Covid is terrible in our area.

I woke up Tuesday morning feeling like my head weighed 40 lbs, chest congested, strange pain in chest due to coughing all night.

Fought it all day Tuesday and Wednesday (slept 15 hours straight Wednesday), mild fever and headache.

All symptom of Covid but also every other bug that goes around this time of year.

Seem to be better today, so do you just ride it out or run get a covid test ? What good would it do ?

I’ll be honest for me fever is the kicker.....if you don’t want to get tested I’m ok with it but I’d stay home if I were you at least for a few days for it to run it’s course

Can you quarantine for 14 days?

No need to test.

Do you need to go back to work or travel?

Get tested.

I work from home but have a kid going to school (probably where I got it if that's what it is) they've had ton of kids/teachers quarantined lately. They get out tomorrow for a week.

We are in North East Dallas Collin County

I had COVID in July but never ran fever. I did have every other flu like symptom including chills but no fever.

I am actually sick now. Runny nose, sore throat, coughing.
But this is the Crud. The Corona was different.

A test, positive or negative, is useless. It’s all how do you feel. Don’t get caught up in the “a test will cure you “ idiot thought process.

What’s the point of getting tested? There’s no special medicine for Covid other than how you treat a cold or the flu.
The only thing a positive result does is give the Government & FearMedia another reason to shut it all down to protect us.

I wouldn’t unless I felt like I couldn’t make it through the work day.

But I’ve never called in to work sick. Even when I had part time shite jobs in college

That's my point, just ride it out like any other upper respiratory infection.

They have false negatives and false positives so a test is worthless.

this applies to a near 100% of any kind of medical test.
obviously this is a retarded logic when tests are accurate something like 90% of the time. no chest xrays for pneumonia, its worthless. no strep or urine tests. no blood tests. ct scans for stroke etc, all out the window.

I began feeling bad Monday night before Halloween. Ran fever in high 99s, felt sick and tested positive Tuesday morning. Began the Z pack, took the shot and vitamin d and orange juice. Felt fine again on Thursday.

Jon the one hand you could be a grown up and go get a test so that you can help not spread it if you’re positive. Or you can be one of the meatballs who have to “pick a side” in response to a virus.

The choice is yours baw.

The biggest thing about getting tested is that then the state can conduct contact tracing and can determine where you got it from in addition to contacting people that you suspect may have gotten it being around you.

Jesus, how old are you?

Can you weather an extended cold for a few day?

Don't get a test. Don't give the frickers another data point to shut us down. Take some meds and rest. That's all they're gonna tell you to do anyway

I wouldn’t get tested unless I was sick enough to need to be hospitalized.
