As much as she would have deserved it, decking a bitch would have been a bad look.

He shouldn't have given up the ball that quickly either.

Exactly! Gotta make sure little Timmy isn’t upset and gets what he wants. All over a freaking baseball! Grown people acting like complete idiots over something completely meaningless! Great message to send little Timmy!

“Don’t worry little Timmy honey baby! When you’re 40 years old, and your boss is being mean to you, making you do a bunch of work you don’t want to do, Mommy will be there to make him be nice and take care of it. “

That guy sprinted pretty far away from his seat to scramble for that ball. There's got to be some kind of unspoken social limit on how far into other seats you can go and how hard you can scrap for a baseball, doesn't there?

I think they were both being a little silly if you ask me (it's just a baseball after all) and as such neither one really had a clear moral high ground IMO.

And I think the Dad realized that and that's why he gave the ball to her. In doing so he was then able to take the moral high ground, whereas if he had refused I think he would have been stuck in the mud with the Karen.

I think he did the right thing, chose to be a good example for his kids, and was rewarded for it.

Damn, you're retarded.

The dad did exactly the right thing.

Make them look bad every single time.

People see.

He’s a white man in America, the most hunted game in all the world.

It’s just a baseball. He taught his son the right thing. He would’ve smashed that old bag to pieces in front of that tiny crowd if he wanted. He should tell his son that. “Power is when we have every justification to kill and we don’t.”

Pops did the right thing. Had it escalated any more all it takes is one bad camera angle or partial video clip and it’s Pops getting crucified all over media and social media on a Saturday morning. Smart dude and good for him.

With his kid there, for sure.

She's a bitch and she showed it. Damage is already done.

Guy reacts kinda gayish! Flailing his arms in a odd way. Guessing his boyfriend was in the bathroom at the time

This was maybe the worst incident I’ve seen since no one ever had possession of the ball until dad picked it. It’s fair game. She hunted that dude down like it was hers by birthright. Disturbingly narcissistic.

I have no problem with his decision to give in and take the high road but did he have to look so faggy in doing so?

I don’t see the guys actions as “soft”. I see them as a man who understands the context of the situation he is in- a very public place with people watching, cameras rolling, and most importantly his son next to him. In my view the “softer” thing to do would have been to escalate the situation further leading to who knows what. If you are so attached to the idea of being able to keep a trinket like a baseball that you are willing to escalate a situation into an altercation, then I would say *you* are the soft one.

To me it’s similar to the idea of gentleness. A weak person isn’t gentle, they are weak. It takes strength to be gentle. Gentleness is knowing when to restrain your strength and when to use it. To me this is a corollary to that.
