Yes, absolutely. They are monsters in bad weather.
Mine has more ground clearance than my previous 4Runner as well. They have SUV AWD capability, but drive like a nice sedan, and have a really nice interior if you get the upgrades.
I ordered a fully loaded one off the assembly line and it was sub-40k and it will last me over a decade.
