Only finishing up day one, but when do the cravings go away?

I kept forgetting to smoke. It's been
2 months or something now. I'll get a craving every now and again, but it goes away. Didn't use anything special. Cold turkey

Took 2-3 years from Skoal, if I was drinking.

3 days to when it doesn't take a full push not to use. 3 months of a daily craving. 6 months of occasional cravings after that.
Drinking? Always crave.

Most of the cravings are gone after 3 days.

You'll probably just get fat and die from heart disease.

Are you snorting cocaine?
If so, they won't go away.

I believe the body recovers from nicotine withdrawal fairly quickly, like a few days.
It's the triggers, the activities that you have associated with smoking that will cause you to relapse. After a meal, during work breaks, etc, that's what you have to be mindful of.

For me the first 3 weeks sucked. I craved cigarettes badly and was coughing up a ton of nasty stuff from my lungs finally being able to cleanse itself of all the crap I was putting in it by smoking for 9 years.
After 3 weeks it got noticeably easier for me. Things started smelling noticeably better and I noticed foods tasted better. Also I just felt better in general. Still had cravings, but feeling better helped me to fight the cravings.
Good luck, you can do it!

Biologically about 4 to 5 days. Mental triggers forever.

I still had strong cravings for the first 2 months. Then it got a lot easier. I'm at 14 months now (cold turkey) and still get a craving every now and then but I drink water and forget about it.

I smoked almost a pack last weekend during a long camp/ fishing/ drinking trip. Prior to that, I hadn't had a smoke in three months and have no desire to have one since. I never was a hard smoker, so I can't really identify with the struggle.

As soon as you start dipping.

I quit September 29th, 2014. It's easy if you're really ready

You have to get past all the things you're used to doing with a smoke...a few times. Food, drink, traffic, loaf-drop, weed, sex, whatever.
If you can make it two weeks you can kick it for good.
