When do you tell a woman you love her?

Met this woman at a mutual friends social event (No pics) 6 weeks ago. She’s changed my life.
We are in our mid 40s.
Professional.
Kids same age.
Upbringing same.
Similar hurt in past marriage.
I’ve never felt this way and it’s amazing.
Both of us have been separated/divorced for 2 years. Dated casually few people in that time frame. Nothing serious.
Just curious. Ive never prescribed to the whole “when you know you know” narrative, but good lord I’m having a change of heart and have been since I laid eyes on this woman and have gotten to know her.
Thanks

Not in 6 weeks. Maybe 6 months. There is no rush.

Pump the brakes.
ETA: An old man told me when I was younger that love is like a butterfly. It’s just as happy landing on a beautiful flower as it is landing on a pile of shite.

Love is not a feeling. Love is a decision. If you have the warm and fuzzies then you like her, not love her. If you are ready to commit and put a ring on it, then you love her. Love should never be used in the past tense because it is a commitment, not a feeling.

Life is short. Do what you want when you want.

6 weeks? Little soon perhaps.
6 months? Nah... you should know by then.
I would say everyone is different. I am a firm believer in “ if you know you know”
Put it this way... you guys don’t have a problem knowing she’s not the one do you?

If she’s hesitant about letting me in the back door

Interesting and true. Good point.

Obviously right after she lets you PIIHB. This is still the OT, right?

I told my GF after our second date (two weeks) that I loved her and we've been married going on 31 years this September. That's longer than some of you have been alive.

6 weeks if you are dating in high school is an eternity. As a young adult, you've probably started saying it after about 1 month.
Now that you are older and both have baggage, I would say that you don't rush to say it. Show acts of love, as that will be more meaningful at this point.

After decoding his words I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening here.

If you're sure, take a chance and tell her.
