Do you understand how LIABILITY works? Every single time your dumbass runs from the question. It has nothing to do with the value of your vehicle. If your net worth is 2 million and you have a liability limit of 25k, your exposure is enormous.
You try to act like a fricking big shot on here, but continue to prove how fricking retarded you are daily.
No one with a net worth of 2 million is driving around willingly with zero coverage to protect said net worth.
We can all thank you I suppose, once Gordon milks your arse dry to pay for some NIL deals because you don’t have basic understanding of liability.

Do you work for an insurance company?

Did anyone else know that babytac is a successful executive and also frugal?

Answer the question moron. You cause an accident and cause 250k in damages. You have 25k in coverage, where do you think the rest of the damages come from?

Physical damage is the least of worries.

I agree, but I’m dumbing it down for his feeble mind. His response will be that he’s a safe driver and doesn’t cause accidents

I’m 46, never been in an accident. I don’t drive like an a-hole. frick you and the government for forcing me to give you money every month.

I’ve never gotten money from you, can I give you my venmo?

As always you can’t answer a simple question. Your view of insurance proves you have the IQ of a grapefruit. It also proves you’re a fricking liar about your net worth, which is absolutely pathetic.

When I buy a vehicle it is all cash, no debt
Have a tiny savings account for vehicle, as soon as I get new I start saving to buy the next one. If I die first, it is my funeral savings account.
I dislike the move to trucks and SUV's as this is based non getting consumers to buy them as manufacturers have higher profit margins. Sedans are preferred but they are being phased out
Best is to get low milage yet high appearance from older people you know or someone else knows so you get good history of their habits. Little old ladies may have immaculate cars they never bothered to change the oil in. Little old men may have embraced their youth in mechanical wear and tear.
I like quiet sedans for daily use and road trips
I like cheap vans (trucks & SUV's too expensive) for hauling, towing, or fishing

Drive it until it dies. While doing that look up what a note on the next one you will want is. Start putting that money aside as if you are paying the note.
This is what I'm currently doing. Started the fund in August or September last year. It's growing pretty nicely. I find myself wanting a new truck lately, but the truck I want is an absurd amount of money and I can't convince myself to pull the trigger until my current Tundra decides it's time. I have 190k on it, and it hasn't given me a lick of problems yet. Oil, tires and normal maintenance items only. And it's the 5.7. It drives nice and does everything I need it to for the most part.

Considering even shitty new cars are $30-40k, even a “fender bender” can exceed those limits.
Factor in that a third of all drivers are uninsured, you’re really screwed if anything happens regardless of whether it’s your fault.

If I have to for out $250k then so be it. I’ll take that 0.000000001% chance. That’s my choice. No reason I should write you assholes a check every month and get nothing in return. Insurance is the #1 problem and corrupt business in this country.

When the upkeep and maintenance becomes more expensive than the actual value of the car.
Posted on 10/13/23 at 11:31 am to BabyTac
If it's a problem that can't be fixed without a lot of work and expense.
Wife's car with Northstar engine leaked oil badly and could only be repaired by dropping the entire subframe. PITA to disconnect everything, lift the car drop the engine and subframe out the bottom and tear down engine.
Everything else worked flawlessly, so did a trade for a 2 year old car with only 18K miles. Got great trade value due to the frigid cold AC.

easy way is whenever you feel the need to
my cousin buy brand new truck every 3 years no matter what. the money he wastes doing it is insane but it makes him happy and he justifies it by saying his vehicle is always new and under warranty. i even tried to make a deal with him to let me go with him to buy his next one and buy it from him at book trade-in value but he is an a-hole so he wanted no part of it.
most people buy vehicles only when its needed because money is tight. that covers 80% of those buying.
the other 20% is like my cousin and is covered under "i have the money so i dont care" catagory.
i think its as random and individually different for each person as who you pick to marry

Love my '03 Mazda with 256k miles but it is blowing blue smoke and I can't find a replacement engine with a decent warranty.
I'd do a motor swap and keep it another twenty years if I could.
