They do not want to risk their name being tied to a hotspot spread of this virus - much like people are speculating Mardi Gras is the cause of the NOLA hotspot.

You mean the company that makes billions from their media content?

Disney makes nearly as much money from parks and resorts as it does in media. They’re hurting plenty right now.

I understand that. Do you understand that they could more than stay afloat without ever opening their parks again?

They are doing the right thing though. Wonder how many they would have to layoff with the shut down indefinitely. The parks, hotels and restaurants are quite a profit for them.

Well of course they could. But parks and resorts are their best profit margin by a fair amount and it essentially just disappeared overnight.

Disney made over 70 billion dollars in revenue in the 2019 fiscal year. The parks were just over 26 billion of that stream.
Like I said, Disney closing the parks isn't an indicator of anything. It's simply a decision to avoid a PR disaster.

DW alone is supposedly losing $40m a day. Share holders won't tolerate that for much longer.

At least the kids that are there (when reopened) from the pedophiles.

You know, no one outside of La. is mentioning Mardi Gras as any kind of big problem. And definitely not even necessarily about a NOLA hotspot. Try not to worry too much about that.
