I quit hand washing after college, mainly because I moved to the city and it really wasn't an option.
We go to the farm, go camping, play sports, go fishing, go to the beach, etc, so there's ALWAYS sand and grass on the floor boards, and I probably only vacuum once per month if that. I'll go thru a car wash fairly often if I feel like it. If I buy a tank of gas and it's $5 to go thru it, I will. But I don't pull out the chamois and armor-all, I just exit.

I didn’t.
???????
3 kids
There were/are stints when maybe I didn’t wash/wax as much as I wanted or paid for it to be detailed, but I generally wash/wax pretty regularly still. Vehicles are too damn expensive to neglect.

Kid #2
Still wash regularly, but having a spotless interior is a fruitless endeavor.

Never.
Too OCD.
Will swing through the car wash once every 2 weeks or so.
Fairly easy to take 2 minutes and clean up after your kids when you get home

My car was dirty when the title was handed over from my nephew.
He works at the sugar cane mill and gave me a good deal, so I didn't trip. It has remained dirty.

Wife and kids. Before then I had trophy cars that got waxed every week and full interior detail.
Now I just keep the trash picked up. My wife backs into so much stuff that now I just laugh about it.

I’m broke & disabled.
I don’t get anything for disability and I don’t have a handicapped parking deal. I’ll still fight you if you mess with me. I’m going down swinging.

You are Mr Clean, so I’m sure your vehicle is clean
But I’ve seen pics of you and I don’t think anyone is going to tell you anything about your disheveled vehicle, if that’s the case

I have never washed the outside. Just keep the inside clean.
That is how the British aristocrats do it.

Owning a small business and having multiple kids in sports will make a car owner quit caring for their car faster than you can ever imagine.

When did you stop caring about a clean vehicle?
When it comes to the inside of the vehicle - I never stopped. I do not eat or drink in it because it leads to messes. My new car smell lasts for many years. After just over 23 years of ownership, it still looks better than almost every other car I’ve been in - since most people are goddamn slobs.
Now that I’ve got 260k on one of my vehicles, it should be very easy to sell at a great price. Prospective buyers will see many obvious signs that it was well cared for.
The outside? Not so much. If the dust is thick enough for somebody to write on with their finger, I’ll wash it.

I can honestly say that I have never stopped cleaning the car, however there are things I don't have time to do anymore like hand washing or waxing/polishing/detailing. I hire someone to wax/detail it every year or so, go to the full service car wash if I want it thoroughly cleaned every two months, and to the self serve car wash weekly with minor detailing/vacuuming.
I get anxiety when my car is dirty. Wife couldn't care less so I have to manage two cars.
I put much less DIY effort into the cars. I don't have enough time to do it like I used to do.
