Someone on FB the other day posted a pic of her daughter and her “boyfriend” holding hands walking into the movie theater. The mom sat a few rows behind them. The kids are 2nd graders. I know others that encourage their daughters (under the age of 10) to have relationships...ie inviting little Brayden over for dinner or to watch movies or to come along on vacations.

It’s usually the mothers that are promoting this and it just seems a little weird to me. My daughter is 5 and I won’t allow this shite until junior high at the earliest. What say the OT? Are batshit crazy moms to blame?

Those same moms will be defending their daughter’s teen pregnacy in a few years

Sounds like single parent households to me

On one hand, I realize if I am Too strict, she’ll rebel and I’ll have a much worse situation on my hands.

All I can do is show her how a man should treat a lady, and give her home training, and let her know that daddy will always be here for her.

Teenage girls are the absolute worst creatures.

ETA: mine is 8. I figure i’ve Got 4, maybe 5 more good years. I dread the day the red menace comes

I remember getting dropped off at the movies with my girlfriend in about the 7th grade. My daughter is in the 6th grade now and I'm dreading this shite

Congrats to mom for being a complete fricking idiot. Do we really need girls becoming thots any earlier than they already do? Good luck to that woman and she's going to look back on that moment with regret imo.

Yeah 2nd grade is too young.
But kids don't date like we used to.
They just meet up somewhere, so how are parents to know?

Be happy if they're attracted to the opposite sex.

My daughter won’t be going on any “dates” until she’s 17

Now, she allowed to meet her friends that are boys at dances and sock hops, but she’s not dating anyone. FTR, she’s 11

well, you might want to hide your TD account avatar pictures from your daughter so that she doesn't get any ideas as to how women should be objectified/treated by men.

would be funny if she did accidentally see them and then started twerking toward all the 2nd grade boys to get their attention...just like daddy likes!!!

Middle school maybe for dances and stuff. It’s hard to avoid it once they start driving or hanging out with kids who do. Just have boys.

Yep. My friends all tell me I'm screwed too. We already have read texts about certain boys having a big crush on her. I honestly wish she was homely looking until she was about 21

Sometimes I get scared when I think about my daughter dating then I remember she looks like me and I get petrified.

This is stupid, even for the OT.
