16 for dating and 14 when she could begin going to dances along with her friends. Exclusive and serious dating didn't happen till she went to college. She usually went with a group of 8-12 to formals with her date. When boys began to become serious she would tell them we can be friends but nothing more. She dated several guys through college and married her husband who is nearing completion of becoming a Dr.

All I can do is show her how a man should treat a lady, and give her home training, and let her know that daddy will always be here for her.

Bravo, exactly what I did. We did many daddy daughter dates and I would treat her the way she should expect anyone else to treat her. It was great.

She actually called me to pick her up on one when her date began to get pervy. She simply said she had to go to the bathroom, called me, and walked from the restaurant to another close by business and I picked her up. No third degree questions from me or making a scene of any kind. She was free to discuss what happened or not as long as it wasn't serious or required the law.

We do more family things now but I look forward to having daddy daughter dates. She’s a sweetheart.

High school.

She worked jamba juice and did her school work.
She went out a few times in high school.
Busy, mostly.

No 2nd grade dates or the like.
No 8th grade dates.
Her parents and she were in the middle of an intense and full ashram life with lots to do.

She got piano lessons and practiced. Horse. Swimming.
Skiing. Art lessons. Making gifts at holidays. Non stop action.
She played keyboard at church events from an early age. (I taught her).

It took her two years to settle down in college (free at last!) but she graduated in 4.5 years in a 5 year degree and worked 20 hours a week.
