I don't know. Why are you in this thread?
To mock virtue signaling idiots that think people should
prostrate themselves before the Gods of Political Correctness.
Again, this serves no purpose whatsoever other than to divide and excuse the shitty behavior of millions of people.

When I took a friend of mine to my house after swim practice for dinner and he said "Wow that house is so freaking big!" That was my house that I had grown up in he was talking about, it was humbling.

What is the deal with the word "woke"???
Posted on 8/5/20 at 10:30 am to Kujo
Well I’m white so privilege doesn’t apply to me. If anyone has a leg up in America today it’s a person of color and especially if he or she is black. It’s been that way for quite sometime now .

seems like you are in the wrong place for that, no?

I don't know why people always look to the outcomes, rather than the drivers.
This is another weird thing to me. The drivers behind the outcomes are the far more interesting thing to look at.
But yet, you and so many others, only ever want to focus on the outcomes.

The "drivers" for this narrative is actually quite nefarious.
Again, sorry you aren't bright enough to understand what this is all about.
Keep assuming you are above the fray, while the rest of us see it as willful ignorance.

I have the privilege of paying a ton of money in taxes and not getting much in return.
Posted on 8/5/20 at 10:35 am to Kujo
I'm still in complete denial of my privilege

I don't know why you keep focusing other others narrative.

What? The OP? What is "this"?

Above the fray of what?
I have no idea what you are talking about.

It sucks that I wasn't born in the seventh ward to a single mom with no money.
Maybe you should go to the hood and tell young black women to stop making such shitty, selfish decisions.
It would be MUCH more helpful than virtue signaling about "privilege" on a message board.....
Let us know how it works out....

Exactly! It sucks that I wasn't born in the seventh ward to a single mom with no money. It would have been so much easier to get into college.
There are plenty of kids these days of all races raised in shitty neighborhoods with a single parent. I went to school with kids like that. Most of them busted their arse in school and made something positive of themselves.
Not everything is black vs. white

Yes, you keep proving that.

For me, it was when I was 12 years old. I was digging out both ends of a septic ditch in the hot sun in Franklinton Louisiana. I realized then how easy I had it compared to all of the poor black people.

I think you are trying to talk about others that want to shame people for privilege and only focus on outcomes.
I already said I understand that frustration and find that argument to be dumb.
So I don't know why you keep trying to bring it up.

Really, are you sure? It sure seems that way.
