Went to Subway a few months ago and a guy just off his shift at the movie theater asks “do y’all have the five dollar footlongs still?” Indian girl at the counter starts elaborately studying the menu. It was awkward.

I stoped going to Subway when Jarod turned out to be a child molester and then found out they'd been serving up something unidentifiable as tuna and claiming it was tuna.

Burger King is another one that is unbelievably expensive now. Bought myself a Whopper meal and two chicken fry meals for the wife and son.

About 2 years ago. I won't go anymore with out a coupon.
That said, we regularly get coupons in the junk mail that are 6" meal for $5.99 (good for a lunch break), or 2 footlongs for $12.99, etc.
I'll get the 2 footlongs only for $12.99 and feed my family at the house using chips and sodas from our pantry.

There is a Subway across the street from my office, and I haven't been back since I got a footlong sandwich meal a few months ago and it was $18. And they don't take coupons either. fricking stupid.

Every now and then I get mailed coupons for a 6.99 footlong or 5.99 meal....that's the only time I eat subway..... other than those prices it's a total rip off

All food and especially fast food has gotten a shitton higher lately espcially post-covid, but
this doesn't really seem like a shock to me? A steak and cheese is going to be a higher priced menu item, plus makign a combo with chips/drink add taxes and $11 isn't really that crazy I don't think. I'm sure you could've gotten a 12" normal sub and a side of chips (no combo) for the same price or even less.

Their prices aren’t too bad and their meatball marinara is pretty good.

It's ridiculous. Fast food is expensive as frick these days it makes it not even worth getting anymore. You used to be able to at least get a bunch of food for cheap but not anymore
