As an old geezer (65 in July), I remember watching RD a little in the late 60's, early 70's.

If senility is not creeping in, I think there was a team named The Kansas City Bombers. And it seems like Raquel Welch starred in a movie about RD that possibly shared that same name.

What exactly was (or is) the objective in Roller Derby? How exactly were points scored, goals achieved, etc? My memory is sketchy, but I think that not understanding the "game" is a primary reason why I didn't watch much of this alleged sport.

I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. We all knew it was fake, but it was fun, mindless entertainment.

First R-rated movie I ever saw.

As a kid, WPIX and WOR out of New York. What a blast. It was real too. Just like professional wrestling back then.

I watched the shite out of some Roller Jam back in the early 2000s.

The scene in Austin early 2000s, maybe even a little earlier version

But that early roller derby scene was fun
