I wear a tailored suit and tie every where I go. Even to McDonalds or Walmart.

Bastards cost ~65 a piece just to essentially get a nike dri-fit golf shirt in Nokia blue with the company logo on it.

Of course im a sucker and buy them anyway.

Looked around my entire section at an Astros game last week. I counted 2 people that were not considered obese or outright fat. Those two people were less than 20 years old. I was pretty disgusted after that.

I'm in a meeting right now with two women and 10 other men. I'm the only one that is not obese.

I think it has a lot to do with how work cultures have changed regarding business attire. I wear work boots jeans and a dry fit polo or fishing shirt to work every day because I can be in my office or in the field depending on a phone call. CEO works just down the hall from me and he wear slacks and a polo everyday so we have a fairly laid back office environment as well as many other companies. You do not see as many people having to wear suits and ties into that office like past decades so many people do not have those types of clothes in their wardrobe. I for one hate wearing a shirt and tie unless I absolutely have to, but some people like to dress up to each their own. I wont lie and so I don't look sloppy sometimes when I go out to eat with my wife and son, but I also know when it is time to tighten up the appearance if the situation calls for it. Also, I hate shaving and have a beard, but it I keep it trimmed and orderly.

It's all JFKs fault. Seriously.

JFK crafted this causal image and had an insane affect on pop culture. It was the death of the hat as the 4th piece to the three piece suit and then the death of the suit in business. It's been a slow and steady decline ever since.

This is kind of the point as well. People give up and it's sad. Dating apps..in public.. Maybe 5-10% here in BR look really nice and clean-cut.

by nicely you mean decked in Lululemon

Exactly, even if you're in an affluent area, females are going to be decked out in workout gear while running errands.

I dont think she is talking about a professional setting.

She is talking about everyday wear, such as:

riding on an airplane
simply walking around town
going to a quick dinner
etc etc

The occasions used to call for decent attire, now it is common to see gym shorts and t shirts.

I just want more for the guys of my hometown. All the fishing shirts/camo/LSU tshirts in public are disappointing.

Our courthouse has a sign on the door saying that people in pajamas won't be allowed in the courtroom. They wouldn't have put the sign up if people hadn't been showing up in pajamas.

I love a messy bun

I'm out on property a lot in the heat. Curly hair can turn to frizz quick.
