I love dogs and have dogs, but I agree with OP. There are times and places for everything. I don't particularly like when your Great Dane or Golden Retriever gets some water and then proceeds to walk over and gets his drool all over my leg or pants. Typically, the owners are oblivious.
Also, there are certain establishments (more restaurants), where I don't need to see your dog drooling or shedding everywhere.
And then there's the case where the dogs start barking and going after one another ... that's a whole different story.
ETA: I'm generally against the strapping the kid to the chest and bringing him/her to breweries as well.

This is a close one in the vote totals.
I say if it's a purebred let it tag along. If not, please leave it at home.

My little knucklehead goes with me to alot of places. They do it all the time in Paris. No problems or issues there.
You know that they serve a lot of horse meat there.

I'd much rather have the dogs than your running-around-screaming little a-hole banshees. Why did you bring them to a brew pub?
Dogs are the best people.

I love how the OP just assumes a majority has his POV, when in reality the surge of "dog friendly" places shows he is probably in the minority.
Even if I'm dogless, I love seeing and petting dogs at all the places mentioned in the OP.
Dogs > most humans >>>>>>>>> OP
Yep

By all means you should bitch about it on a message board. Because after reading a rant like that it's obvious you would never have the balls to confront someone about it. Even little old ladies it seems. Try reducing your estrogen pills a little might help you cope more.

I typically try to avoid getting involved with the lower rung of our society, so yeah, I’m not going to engage random mouth breathers in public about their dogs.

Translation: you are a little bitch boy. You didn't need to clarify though I already knew.

I can’t talk to girls so I just bring my dog and smile

I don’t really mind the dogs being everywhere, I just don’t get why the owners want to bring their 80 pound animal EVERYWHERE with them. It just seems inconvenient but whatever you do you fam

Dogs aren’t people you fricking idiot. And they do not have the inherent value that other people do.
So tired of dumbasses acting like their dog is not a dog and is instead a person.

I really enjoy taking my dog with me to the patio every once in a while.
I've lived in Dallas for 8 months now, he's been out with me to a bar patio one time. He'll probably make his next appearance for football season when the weather gets nice again.
Mostly I take him as a get home whenever i want to card. No kids so he can serve as my need to leave whenever I want to. Also, I like his company and people flock to him cause he rolls onto his back immediately for belly rubs.
You sound angry OP

I agree, and if they must bring the dog it should be required to wear a diaper.

Agree with you, OP for the most part.
I’m fine with one or two dogs in a bar that has a patio or any other outdoor event. But what if everybody brought their dogs to these things? Know what’s about as bad as kids running around? Dogs running around getting hair everywhere, biting, running people over, howling up a storm, shitting, pissing anywhere they please, slobbering all over everything and everyone.
And then people will say “oh it’s just a dog”. Yeah, it is just a dog, just like a child is just a child. Dogs and children aren’t that different, and if you do a shitty job of being an owner or parent, you’re going to have a shitty dog or child.
I don’t hate dogs, but I don’t think just because you love your little fefe or Rufus means he or she should go to public spaces. Especially places that serve food.
