You realize that a lot of these posts on Reddit local/regional/state subreds come from foreign accounts right? There were two accounts busted during covid that was posting as a local but was located in China and Russia. 90% of these types of posts don't originate from local posters.

They just voted for a white liberal women mayor-president.

She's a white woman, but I wouldn't call her liberal. She's been a pretty good mayor-president so far, despite my misgivings, from what I can tell.

It's "too", not "to", and it seems irrational to me. Lafayette is one of the more solidly republican areas in the state.

Just look at r/omaha - it's nothing but anti-trump stuff and very little to do with local issues. Its all meant to rile up the small percentage of people there to leftist garbage. Most of the things that get huge quantities of upvotes come from foreign bot farms.

Illegal immigration is not based on racism. It is based on regulating the number of people so that the resources are aligned. It is also based on maintaining the public health of the existing population by assuring the health of immigrants. It is also a matter if national security to assure that we do not just simply let invaders wander into our country.

These people who turn it into a social issue are ignorant and will ruin our nation

I like the one saying we won’t have an Acadiana if it’s under water.

Always some existential threat with these people.

Reddit is not a representation of America. It’s a representation of the far left

He still would have won is Swift had endorsed him over Monique, but she chose Monique.

I don't think there's a single legit republican leader in Lafayette.

Do these idiots sit around all day in their underwear watching CNN, MSNBC and The View ?

Clinging on every word and democratic talking point

Trump may be the best President we've had in their lifetime but I guess it was better to them when men with dick, fake breast and beards were prancing around the Whitehouse

Lafayette isn’t even on the same level as the worst parts of Austin. And I hate Austin’s politics.

Lafayette is by no means a liberal city. The mods on that subreddit are fanatics about censoring any posts that aren’t written by purple haired nuts.

Surprisingly a lot of liberals in Lafayette. I think there is a lot of resentment of dads that worked in the oil field.

As soon as the BBB was passed, the threads about rural hospitals closing started by several people. It's obvious all preplanned by some liberal group.

The local liberal news, TheCurrentLA "dug into the new bill" and is concerned that the Medicaid cuts will force rural hospitals to close. It's then repeated by all the concerned liberal posters.

Oh and Josh Guillory was so crooked. Millions in drainage projects with no permits. Knocked down spoli banks in a neighboring parish with no permission. Hell, he and his wife even tried opening a heavy equipment rental company during all the mega drainage projects but we're too stupid/arrogant to do it on the down low.

Imagine being this upset because a ding bat DEI appointed idiot who couldn't complete a thought was not elected.
