At least by 1984. That’s the first one I can remember attending.

100% legit. When I graduated in 2001 they announced that anyone who made an outburst during the calling of names would be escorted out of the building. No one made a sound and every graduate got to hear their name called and not have it ruined by catcalls and air horns.

Mirror reflection of the country. In case you missed it, trashy is IN.

That week for sure. Boys 2 Men's 'End of the Road' ruined graduation forever

It's a Louisiana thing. Even at College Graduations. Only half decent ones here was the Engineering Graduation at LSU.
The High School Graduations I've been to in Texas and Alabama were so much better.

Let me guess...it has something to do with demographics.

Depends on the school dumbass
And theres the answer. At my high school, if ANY student
"Booed" at a sporting event, you got a 3 day suspension.
If you threw your graduation cap, you only received a paper
"State diploma" not the nice school diploma.

As a general rule, society has lost most sense of decorum.

Alright, this is fricking stupid. Sporting events and graduation ceremonies are not the same
