When men make enough to cover the household expenses, and women relearn appropriate values.

Key Proverbs Verses

• Proverbs 21:9 & 21:19: States that it is better to live in a corner of the housetop (an isolated, uncomfortable outdoor space) or out in a barren desert land than to share a house with a quarrelsome, fretful, or complaining woman.
• Proverbs 25:24: Repeats that living in a corner of the housetop is better than sharing a house with a contentious wife.
• Proverbs 27:15–16: Compares a continual, nagging, or quarrelsome spouse to a steady, incessant drip on a rainy day. It notes that trying to stop or restrain her is as impossible as trying to control the wind or grasp oil with your hand.

Men get what they want by doing it.

Women get what they want by having men do it for them.

Then she gave some to her husband who was with her, and he also ate it. … The man answered, “The woman whom you put here with me, she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.”

So women gave us knowledge. Interesting how Adam didn’t die after he ate the fruit like God said that he would.

This board has such a strange relationship with women.

My guess it is based on age of poster

WWI to WWII generation = excellent relationship (had to be united to survive)

Boomers = mixed bag depending on if they worked or parents spoiled them

Middle Age = tend to have strange relationships between the sexes

Youth = seem to have no relationship between the sexes

I am so glad I am not in the dating / married pool these days. Good men and women from your ancestors age would never be married or have kids because they would be ignored by current standards of society.

You’re on here complaining about women. What does that say about you?

How do we get back to this?

We were never there, that was advertising, not reality

Husband + Wife = Partnership

Most of American life was hard till after WWII and your life partner had skills and you had skills that meshed for survival.

Thankfully my wife doesnt do it much. When she does I shut it down quick.

One of her friends is an incredible nag. She's married to a great guy who is a high earner and really involved with their kids. He's constantly doing things with them, cooking, cleaning, etc. Legitimately enjoys being a dad. The friend stopped by the house the other day and wouldn't stop bitching about how her husband hadn't done anything to help her today. She works part time and he works from home so he gets treated like he never works. I ran into him at the store later and asked what he'd been up to. He had been prepping food all day for a charity event he's involved with that raises money for cancer research. I felt really bad for the dude.

my guess is a lot of the men on here don’t know how to treat women properly so they have a miserable life - and they don’t want to put in any effort either. Plenty of women also don’t realize a marriage is not 50/50 - it needs to be 100% from the wife and however much the husband is willing to put in - with no resentment if the two people want it to work.

And it’s ironic that the men on here like to say that women are influenced by other women and fall into certain stereotypes- whereas the men do the same on here. (Almost all the men on here are poor suffering bastards with bitchy wives)

The threads complaining about women are pretty lengthy. And most problems could be solved if the men would just let their wives talk and if the wives realized that they should just shut up sometimes

:LSU KIGE:

Sadly, modern women have done this as well

The progeny of those who went through real hard times, I was fortunate to watch, listen, and learn.

Most telling was when asked what they did when thing got the very worst.

"Look at each other and laugh"

Then they got to work figuring out how get to a solution.

Not sure how many these days would accept this.

I think it all started with tv where they always show the wife as the smart important one where the husband is just stupid and gets ran over.
