Back in my day (shite I sound old), all BR area high schools had their graduation ceremonies at the PMAC. You didn’t need tickets, it held everyone.
This was in the 80’s.

BRMHS had their graduation ceremonies on school grounds well into the 2000's. They had theirs in the PMAC this year, but I don't know when they switched.

Ours was on the football field. Also in the 80s.

They were probably scared how much Alleva might charge for:
Seating
Each camera click
Applause
Each family member
Etc

When I graiduated from BRHS, it was at the school. We could only have five or six people there, which sucked. I wish we could have had at at the PMAC.

We had ours at the Centroplex. Also didn't need tickets.

The problem with the PMAC or any other LSU facility is that even if you schedule something, you can get bumped if any LSU entity needs to use it. I know that people have reached out to LSU about hosting LHSAA State Championships and this has always been the issue.

How many people do you need to see you graduate high school? It's a pretty minimal accomplishment.

Unfortunately, that will probably be the highest academic achievement half of those kids will have in their lifetime.

Woodlawn 1999 was in the PMAC. Can’t believe it was 20 years ago, almost to the day.

Same. No tickets...you could invite as many people as you wished.

Do they not hold HS graduations there anymore?

I'm not sure. We had a pretty big class - 200-250 and it was plenty big enough for ours.
