Don't worry for the tournament hosts. They are making more than enough to cover the costs of those rings.

It is a bit obnoxious. Middle school kids running around with a couple rings.

My son has a few. Its been around since at least 2011 when he got his first from coming in runner up at a State Tournament. Now they give them at small local tournaments, it's pretty sad. Last week they won a tournament and he got a Tournament Champs T-shirt, he was happier with that than a ring.

Those rings are cheaper than a trophy. You can buy them for less than $2.00

They may have had rings at both "Grand Slam" and "USSSA" tournaments this weekend.

They did, big tournament in BR area and Grand Slam in Hammond both gave rings.

I'd make him. Rings are for graduation, mairrage, and real championships. And only one of those are actually worn.

From a logistics standpoint.. Rings are much easier for the tournament directors to handle/transport and the same goes for the parents/kids.. much easier to put a couple of rings on the dresser than a trophies
