That's the worst reasoning for anything I've ever heard.

It is unless you are a tournament director and have to move 300-500 trophies or they could have 2 boxes of rings

Cool t shirts would be way more practical and better enjoyed by the kids, but snobbish parents wouldn't stoop to handing out something so mundane.

Terrible parenting. I hope you threw the trophy out the car window on the interstate.

It was started about 5 years ago out of as a novelty (something different than same old trophies). Now it isn't a novelty and they will probably switch to something else in a couple of years.

Thought it might be. Played in Josh's tourney a couple of years ago in Houma at the AFB park.

I find it interesting that every parents kids baseball team on facebook has won a "National championship" in Biloxi, Disney, Destin, or somewhere like that. Pretty amazing to think about..

That's where I played as a kid. Completely shitty now. It's going to be at Peltier and behind the Civic Center if necessary. Their facilities aren't top notch but their playing surfaces are the best grass fields I've been on and I've been on Zephyr Field, a couple college and quite a few HS fields.

Back when I played the only tournaments that had rings were Cooperstown and a few other big World Series.

You're not giving enough credit. It's not just national, it's "World Series" championship. Come on, you know all those taiwanese and Japanese teams are in Biloxi.

Kids like it more. Plus if they win, the entire team gets a trophy so big it can't fit in an escape are.
