My bad, I thought you were hating on the infants. If they hated you, phuck'em. Your child has as much right to be on the plane as the haters. And what the haters soon forget, is they were once a shitty diapered infant also...

It was 4 flights total. 2 there; 2 back. He was great on the first 3. The last one was enough. Cried almost all of the way. Got a sinus infection on the trip and you could tell his ears were bothering him. Wouldn't take a bottle, nap, nothing. It was brutal.

I just got back from Montreal and Quebec City. I had an infant right next to me. I don't even know if it cried because I had my earphones on the whole time.

If it's a small infant I feel bad for the parents because every dickwad on the plane is judging them. Traveling with a small child is tough.

If it's an eight year old then I judge the parents also.

I've changed my mindset on this in the past year or so.

I used to hate it, and thought the parents were freaking nut jobs.

Now that I have a sister who has produced some offspring, I've learned a lot more about children and how they operate, I'd just put headphones in.

Leave the little diaper shitter at home..

he/she will be fine, just have the neighbors come by and throw some food in the bowl and let it outside once or twice a day.

And since you can put your phone on airplane mode now throughout the whole flight, you never even have to deal with it

Damn, that's rough. Should have fixed him a Toddy... That altitude change can mess with your sinuses!!! Hope the lil guy is better now.

Do you automatically dread the flight even more?

I dread the flight more when a really obese person is sitting next to me, making me feel like I'm gonna be smothered by fat on the flight.

Yeah you don't naturally think "yay I'm sitting next to a baby today" but it happens. Most parents really try to be as courteous as they can on a flight with babies(at least on the flights I've been on).

I dread 30 minute drives with my daughter

I'd be stressed as hell flying with her

Tried some Benadryl. Put him to sleep until the decent and then his ears woke him up and he was yelling again. 10 months old. Seems to be fine today according to my wife.

Heaven forbid an infant cry. Oh man, I can't believe and infant would be that inconsiderate and bother your flight

I'm talking about elementary school aged kids kicking the back of the seat, idiot. I don't have a problem with crying babies because I just ignore them.

The only "bad" experience I had with a baby was the mom that breastfeed her baby the entire flight...on the boob closest to me(she was sitting right next to me).

That was mainly cause I felt uncomfortable though. To be fair...the baby didn't cry the entire flight.

Doesn't use a pacifier. It's been a blessing since he's not attached to it, but it would have been nice here.

I guess the counter argument would be, unless it's a medical emergency, why are you bringing your small child on a plane? They have no idea whats going on, and I'd have to imagine all the pressure changes confuse/scare the hell out of it.
