I took a caffeine pill (400mg I think?) and it kept me awake.

If you take a caffeine pill, make sure you eat first though- even if it’s just a little something bc taking that on an empty stomach made me vv nauseous.

eta: checked the label. Caffeine pill is 200mg. Not 400.

1 hour sleep last night. Storm came through and lightening struck a transformer in front of our house. Powering laying in next door neighbors driveway.

Entergy couldn’t care less.

Power through the day, and as soon as you can leave work, leave. Eat, shower, prep everything for tomorrow, then go to sleep. There's no magic - power through today, keep stimulants to a minimum, then get to sleep as soon as you can.

Creatine monohydrate...seriously a 5-10g scoop helps stave off some of the effects of poor sleep. LINK

Couple of mtn dew zero's during the day. They are loaded with caffeine. 20oz has 113 mg caffeine.

I think about things like Battle of the Bulge, the war in the Pacific, etc, and think about the little sleep those guys had, and how many of them powered through it and won a World War.

Just push through, you’ll be alright. With a caveat: understand that you won’t be as sharp today. Try to avoid making decisions that require complex analysis, don’t attempt witty banter with someone important, etc. Keep your head down, do the minimum, survive to fight another day.

Well I will tell you what I do when I don't sleep for like a week.

I tell my coworkers about it...then try to be as quiet as I can to avoid stupidity so I don't get fired for choking someone. Kill a couple of sugar free energy drinks and hope for a smooth day at work.

as long as you have somewhere that you have to be, or some things you have you to do.......you will feel like shite, can't keep your eyes open, all the while daydreaming about being on your couch or bed just for a little nap. then when all of that is done, and you get home to rest, you'll be wired the frick up! enjoy

Analyze what is keeping me from enough sleep and cutting the crap that doesn't need to be occupying my space. Discipline
