Tyrwhitt + Lewin run deals all the time. Tyrwhitt had a deal recently where I got ~6 non-iron shirts and 2 silk ties for $300. Can't beat that for the quality.

You can get bb for $50 on sale every now and then. Might have to buy 3

When I wore dress shirts a lot, I used Jos. A Bank.
All dress shirts yellow out before they wear out, so just pitch 'em. I tried a bunch of different brands over the years and they all discolor. No point in paying a ton of money for them.
I always kept a few custom shirts, but I didn't wear them everyday.

Man, they have went up a lot if they are $200 now. The last ones I bought 3-4 years ago were $135. White, frenchcuff, made to order.

BB is good if you buy the ones by neck size
the ones labeled S, M, L, XL, i find fit big and baggy.

Roundtree and York's Gold Label is nice stuff for about that price. I forget the other name I recently stocked up on, but they carry them at Dillard's and Macy's, and it's "(something) Club"

Brooks Bros slim fit no iron. Good fit for an average nonobese guy (not puffy, but not the super trim euro douchbag fit). Wrinkle free (legitimately) out of the dryer. Have several that have lasted 2-3 years, and without having to iron or pay for cleaners to press them, I've gotten more than my money's worth.
ETA: and by "wear out" I mean sweat stained at the collar, not falling apart or anything.

Under $50?...Brooks Brothers outlet
Correct answer. I've been hitting the Brooks Brothers outlet in Cincinnati for 20 years. Shite never goes out of style, and NEVER wears out. I still have, and wear, all of it.

I'm still looking for a brand that has slim fit shirts with long enough sleeves for me
Nordstrom has a few brands (1901, Calibrate) that go for under $50. I bought the latter once and it's a decent shirt

I've never had a problem with the Brooks Brothers ones. I hit them up on their threefer sales, which they usually have twice a year or so. They're around $180 or so for three.
Never had a problem with how they hold up, either the no iron or the ones that need ironing.

I like fairly heavy weight fabrics and typically find that at Joseph A Banks and also in a lot of the LL Beam shirts....
these obviously are not designer shirts, but fit well, and last a hell of a long time even with fairly heavy use...and they are affordable...
and if they don't fit well for you, Joseph A Banks will alter theirs for you in a couple of days....

What neck and sleeve length combo are you looking at ? I have heard that Perlis will take the shirts in for you, but they're ~$90. Very nice looking shirts though.

That's half off. Usually about $70

Posted by timbo Lands End is very solid and the prices are right. LL Bean also has some nice wrinkle free shirts. Kohl's has a good selection of brands like Arrow and usually they're on sale ($20-$30). Shoot, I doubt if I have ever paid more than $50 for a dress shirt. And I don't go to Wal-Mart. You ought to be able to find what you're looking for at Kohl's or any mall department store.
Same here. I usually get shirts at JC Penny or Kohl's. You can find Arrow or Van Heusen for $20-$30. No way am I ever spending $50 for a dress shirt.

For that price you're going to have to wait for a sale. Look around online.
