Supposedly Bucee's has good beef jerky. I wouldn't know because I guess Bucee's thought Baton Rouge is a dumpster fire and decided not to build here

Lately I've noticed the jerky in your everyday stores are getting too soft. I don't mind some tender pieces in there, but it just melting in your mouth doesn't give me the jerky experience I'm looking for.
Kinda like when ribs fall off the bone. I need a bit of chew there.
That being said, I have no answer to your question at this moment.

The kind I make at home. Store bought started sneaking sugar in for some reason over the years and they also overcook the meat (obvious need due to FDA regulations I believe) instead of drying it out at or below 135.

The kind me and my baws make with a dehydrater smashing domestics at the camp.

It's really not as hot as you would think. Spicy, but even the kids will eat it. Has great habanero flavor though.
