Too think when my daughter was born that I was actually scared. My whole family is boys and I was like omg what happens when I have to change her, how will I do her hair, etc. All I know is I made it and pig tails and pony tails are the way too go.

Nothing we achieve in business or on our own can equate to the success we see our children achieve in their lives. Nothing will give you more pure satisfaction than seeing them leave the world a better place.

Kind of hard to think about being an empty nester in 6 years or so. I had my only kid at 29 so I could still be mid to late 40s.

My son is 19 and lives in a different town, so I don’t see him terribly often

But when I do, I always get a hug and an I love you. Nothing better

Honestly, being a dad is the best thing about life. It’s exhaustIng (I have 2 under 5) but it’s incredibly rewarding. I love the way they both think I hung the moon. I love picking them up from school and having them run out screaming "Daddy!" over and over again and then bear hugging me. And lastly I love teaching them about life, wrong and right, and watching them learn and grow because of it. Very rewarding feeling.

And the most underated part of being a parent is the fire that it lit under me to be successful and to constantly strive for more & to never be satisfied.

Too numerous to mention, and grateful to be chosen for the job.

Favorite thing about being a Dad? Holding my newborn babies (especially my oldest) for the first time, and kissing my bride for a job well done. Even when they were newborns I could already see a glimpse of their dominant personality traits.

Babies are just remarkable.

*escorting my daughter for homecoming.
*watching my daughter give her Salutatory address at graduation.
*watching my daughter receive the St. Timothy Award from the Diocese of Baton Rouge for an outstanding teen who exemplifies Christian service, Catholic leadership and good moral standards.

Being a mom is pretty amazing too.

I taught my son how to throw a baseball, bat, fish and cook. He’s turned into a great little human.

My dad is a very principled man, and while I am not his flesh and blood, his choice to adopt me and raise me as his own speaks volumes. He is who I turn to when I need advice. Knowing he is proud of me, even though I didn't make the life choices he wanted for me (marriage, kids) means the world to me. He deals with depression and I try and give him positive feedback at all times. Thanks, Dad, for all of the sacrifices

I just became a dad three weeks ago to my daughter. I will be glad when she gets older and we can play and do things. The nights right now are so exhausting

I was just about to and say that. It goes by so fast.

I miss that.

Same here. The sheer joy expressed when I get home from work makes it all worth it. Being a dad is one of the greatest experiences of my life. I didn't love the first year of bottles and formula though.

Just little things here and there while watching them grow up.

Quick story from last night, I took my daughter who is 5 to eat at a restaurant and she refused a kids menu, she wanted a regular menu like me.
She ordered ribs and fries which she ate about half of but she was excited to order off the adult menu.
Then she told me she wanted to pay, so she brought along her toy plastic debit card that came with a toy cash register. She told the waitress she was paying, so I handed her the toy card with my real card hidden underneath. My daughter was so excited when the waitress came back and told her that her card worked and she got to pay for dinner.
