FIFA World Cup. Weird little game. Apparently suffered from licensing agreement issues. But, they had one in the LSU game room, and I wore that thing out.

I found it on a mod or game download place one time. May have to just end up buying it when I retire. That and a pool table would keep me entertained for a while.

Didn't that have the heartbeat sound while you were playing it?

Sure did. It'd get faster and faster as the ball stayed in play.

holy shite firepower! silverball! y'all are bringing back some serious memories of hundreds of lost quarters.

is there a better sound in all of videogame/pinball-dom than the loud CLUNK when you win a free game?

this was at the superette next to jack hayes and i'm sure i must have spent $1,000 in quarters in this thing.

Some of my faves from the Fun Arcade in the late 1970s:

This one came out when I was a sophomore at EJ; the woman's cornrow hairstyle was apparently influenced by Bo Derek in the movie "10"

This thread reminded me of this song, figured I'd share.

ETA: Video was shot at the Pinball Hall of Fame with dancing cuties.

In 1980 Suzanne Ciani talks pinball designers into moaning female pinball machine XENON

Those ol boys were like 'wha? you want the pinball machine to have a woman's voice?'

The look on the other woman's face when she's creating the moaning samples...

Funhouse

Then Attack From Mars.

Loved both of these.

If they weren't such maintenance nightmares I'd love to have one at home.

I’m from Mobile and picked up the black knight in Lafayette. It has definitely been played a good bit in its life. Still plays well for a 40+ year old machine.
