And how far are you from that dream if not already there.

I don’t care where it is. I just want to be by myself. I want to be away from everyone including my family. Just leave me the frick alone.

I want to retire in Andre the Giant's old house in the French countryside so I can sit in all his custom built chairs and feel like a kid again.

Montana or maybe Wyoming. I just have to convince my wife which isn't going well. She said if she can stay inside for 5 months and I'll go get her food than she'll go after my daughter is done with school.

Bryson City, North Carolina. Not too far off but have to wait until kids are gone.

I'm already retired and just waiting for the wife to finish up with work and retire too.

My dream is for both of us to head to a rural area, buy a low maintenance house with about 5 acres of land with a couple out-buildings, one being a shop area and the other being for storage.

It would be nice to have a good sized pond for fishing, but not a deal breaker.

At this point in my life, I'm just tired of city living and ready to ease on down the road.

As I've aged I find that i care less and less for big cities. They are a necessary evil to me at this point. I'd rather live out in the middle of Montana than NYC

I wouldn’t want to keep up 1,000 acres now much less when I’m 70

I'll always want the convenience of living near a big city. Especially as I get older. I don't want to have to drive an hour to get to a major medical center.
