Varies greatly.
We vacation based on what we are trying to do, not fit it into a budget.
We don't do a beach/Disney trip every year that costs the same every time.

Yeah, we've been to Disney one time like 10 years ago and it was way more than 3k. I'm glad nobody in my family likes Disney so I don't ever have to go again

10-20K, with skiing vacations being the most expensive in my experience

3,000.00 average per vacation, but we take two to three a year that range from 4-7 days each one.
We have one that we are largely funding that includes all our grown kids and their families for Christmas, that will be much larger.

Skiing this past Spring Break was probably around $3,500 (actual, not OT 350)
We did a 2 week road trip this Summer to Yellowstone, Tetons and RMNP, it was less than $5,000.
We drive about 95% of our trips, so we save up to $2000 a trip. Flying is not worth the cost.

Currently planning a trip from Florida to Maui next year (10 days). Utilizing credit card perks, rewards, transfer partners, and points we'll probably be around $3,000 out of pocket for two families.

There you go. That is exactly what we use to supplement the out of pocket expenses for vacations.

We did a 4-5 day universal trip last year and park tickets plus hotel was around 3k for four of us.
We tried hard to find cheap flights and stays for our Breckenridge ski trip a year ago also and that came out to around 8-10k. shite just costs $$. Unless you are strictly counting flights/stays. ?

Family of 3 for me and flying is normally $3-4k with transportation, hotel, and food.

I travel a lot for work so I rack up points which helps when we travel nationally.
I would say we spend about $2-3k on a local-ish vacation with one child + dog sitting costs.
This summer we are going to Europe (London, Paris, and Seville) and we are spending about $5k in flights and lodging + I estimate about another 3k in expenses while there. + dog sitting.

Same here. My brother and his wife are Disney people. I hate to think what they've spent down there over the years.

Or maybe I’m just a tightwad, who knows. No way am I regularly spending &5k on a family vacation every year.
You’re probably the only poster not in debt and financing a vacation on a credit card.

Probably around $2500 for the two of us, so far.
Schedule wise, we only hit the point a couple of years ago where we can go out of the country on longer vacations, but the Covid ruined that. I imagine that will be much more, as we are big eaters/drinkers.

I think I’ve only spent more than $2500 on a trip once and that was a cruise three years ago.
We were always able to keep our beach trips to less than $2,000, but that is getting more difficult with high arse rental rates.
Trips to the Pacific Northwest we stay with family.
I currently have enough credit card points for four round trip tickets in the U.S so that will help a lot when we decide on our next trip.
One kid will be done with college in two years so I can’t wait to finally start planning some expensive trips with my wife

Nope, they're all in debt and financing.

Renting an average condo in Gulf Shores for 5 nights will be $1500-2000 these days. And that's pretty basic vacation where you can drive.
That’s what I’m seeing and it’s starting to price us out.
I looked up my receipt from Seacrest four years ago. $756 TOTAL for three nights. The same place is $1670 for three nights today.
We typically spend around $1200-$1500 total for a trip. That’s including gas, food, few fun things, and the rental. We do that twice a year.
Edit - we make about $135k/year combined if it matters.
