Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

Think there may be a generational divide on this. Maybe it's a younger generation thing to wear these shoes.

I mean, I wear colorful socks, in the event that I actually wear socks. So I wouldn't consider myself a traditionalist, in terms of fashion.

Just because I don't like something doesn't mean it isn't in style, it may just mean that it isn't my style. I think that's the situation here. You don't like the shoes, which is your call. I'm not trying to force them on you or anything. I'm just saying that even though it isn't your style, the shoes can still be in style.

But not with a suit. Black shirt with khakis or denim. I think I need to add some tan laces to really make them pop.

I have one pair of black shoes and I only wear them if I am getting blackout drunk in a tuxedo. Other than that, they are relegated to the back of the closet.
