What’s with all the dead owls?

I’m seeing so many dead owls alongside roads throughout SELA. It seems a lot more than I ever remember seeing. Really sad to see this happening to such beautiful animals.
What’s causing this? Different headlights? Baws in squatted trucks?

Trashy arse people throwing out food and food related trash is attracting more and more rodents next to the roadways. Owls swoop down to eat them and get splattered by cars.
