Whats up with the snow here in Charlotte today?

I didnt pack a long sleeve shirt, much less a jacket.
Heavy snow for 3 hours. If it wasnt 40 degrees outside, i guess there would have been 3-4 inches on the ground.

This thing blew up off the coast today.
Good thing it didnt ride 50 miles to the west or most of I95 would have a mess on their hands.

Flew in last night. I had a punch list walk through on a building and was completely caught off guard with the snow this morning. Crazy weather.

A half-assed tropical storm moved up the jet stream to the East coast while a cold front came down from Canada, so the outer bands of moisture from the gulf stream system got really cold from that Canadian air and the little rain droplets froze in the air and fell down to the ground as little white snowflake things.
