I play soccer once a week and do some push ups and sit ups every once in a while. It's not hard at all.

You dont have to look like the rock to be in shape.

Well, maybe they should be worried about their health. Not attractive when people don't care about their personal health/hygiene.

Being overweight is really bad for you.

A lot of people just give up. They pretend that looking good and staying in shape is merely a form of vanity. They ignore the health implications as well as the psychological benefits to leading a healthy life.

a much more fascinating group is the fat people who walk around dolled up and assertive like they're fricking 9.5s

This is a product of the body positive society movement we have.

They are celebrated for being overweight and they actually believe its healthy.

BLOWS
MY
MIND

Obesity is going to ruin our country before anything else. The strain on the health system, the negative impacts on cerebral ability/mental illness, etc.

As long as you aren't sloppily inhaling fast food everyday I don't really have a problem with big folks. I'd rather hang with them than some of my buddies who are on keto diets and crossfit

Well, its quite easy to be in the middle somewhere.

I am not ripped or overly muscular and eat/drink everything on the food pyramid. Everything in moderation (besides bourbon) is not hard. I ride the stationary bike once a week for 30 minutes and walk my dogs, that's not hard.

I don't get why fatties can't find a sport they like.

Play pick up basketball, join a softball league, start cycling. It's not hard to exercise when you make it fun.

Yeah it's insane how in our everyone gets a trophy culture we've said it's ok to be fat. Completely ignoring the negative impacts on health and quality of life.

This is true. In-shape doesn’t mean you have to be muscular and chiseled.

For me it’s different. I don’t feel in shape if I don’t look like I could dance for money, Magic Mike style

I do not get this either. I’ve gained 20lbs (that I’m trying to lose) and I hate the way I look now. Like I have to lose this one way or another or I will be incredibly depressed for the rest of my life. No way I can just accept this as my new normal.

If you wait too long to lose those extra pounds, your accepting that weight as the new normal will be inevitable. It will be the new normal because it's no longer abnormal for you to carry that weight.

"I need to lose this weight sometime soon," is a terrible mindset. Decide that you must lose three pounds in the next 7 days. You don't even have to kill yourself doing cardio. Just do three or four 16-hr fasts and stop snacking for a week. Then you'll get to the end of the week and feel good about yourself. Carry that feeling over to the next week, etc.

Go look in their sink at the dirty dishes, or look in the trash for the fast-food refuse, or check out the paper plates they eat off of, and check out their crusty microwave interior... And you will see why they are fat hogs. They are lazy as frick.
