What's up with people airing dirty laundry in public?

I'm in a McDonald's play place, listening to the trashiest conversation I think I've ever heard in person. It's like a Maury episode. They've mentioned all the key words and phrases: drug court, double wide, camper parked next to the double wide, four wheeler, restraining order, custody battle, motel room, cigarette break, block her on Facebook, I'm not trying to tell you how to run your life.
Kids' names mentioned are Bella, Candy, and Alyssa.
These are women in their 40s and up. Shouldn't they have developed a filter at some point in their lives?

I had a similar instance

I take my kids out for lunch a few times a month. My son requested McD's so here we are.

It's even better when said scorned lover hacks into or logs on as the other person. I'll never forget when a FB friend posted about 10 updates in 30 minutes, all alluding to a tiny dick, 3 pumps and done, couldn't get it up, had to pawn stuff to pay bills, etc. They were gone an hour later.
