re: What’s the shortest amount of time you’ve worked at one job?

First couple of jobs at a movie theater. First stint in high school was an awesome experience with cool arse managers and great people to work with that were also in high school. Just a total hang out atmosphere and when shite hit the fan, we were all in it. Never have had such a cool, laidback job like that since where both managers and co-workers were cool. I’ve either had one or the other
Second stint was in a different city while I was in college. Lasted two days. First official day was “training videos” but the second day I lasted until my lunch break. The owner walks in, not the manager, and sees that I have the company shirt untucked underneath a hoodie I was wearing while I was eating my lunch in the break room. He then proceeds to cuss me out in front of everyone despite there not being a rule about having the shirt untucked while on break, just clocked in. I looked over at one of the managers for help and they didn’t do shite. So I took of my hoodie and shirt, threw the shirt on the floor and walked the frick out while he was still yelling at me

The sea cumber plant sucked. They bring in tubs full of these things. You stand all day at this station pulling them out one by one, you cut off the head, split them down the middle, fillet the meat from the skin, then throw the meat in another tub and skin (it’s really thick) in another tub. Then you do it all over again.
Saw a video of Steven Rinella cleaning one the other day. Looked tedious - just like cleaning any fish. That would be brutal all day.

In college a buddy of mine and I were hired to install tvs in houses one summer. Or that’s what we were told.
We show up and they sent us to the parent company, who wants us to help wire an entire apartment building.
We didn’t return after lunch.

You're the first person I've seen who knew Chuck Redden that didn't think he was a jerk. That includes one of his relatives I once worked for.

I would’ve aimed about 5-6 feet higher.
High school….bussed tables for a restaurant for a few months.
Post college….6 months. Quit when a career job I applied for called. Big corps don’t exactly have a quick hiring process.

Technically 6 weeks. It was supposed to be 6 months when offered, but before I started it dropped to 6 weeks and he said I could still have it while looking for something else.
"Real job"? 6 months.
