I always like to get a shirt with dealer info on the back when I went to a new one. They were more plain back then. “New” Harleys to me are cookie cutters. I’m stuck in the 80-90’s. Give me something with a carb. I’m too young to go back further, but I did have a 77 shovel once I built.

Serious question,
Can you please list the brand names of the clothes you wear today? I am expecting that you have a private manufacturer that makes them specially for you. As an OT baller, I'm trying to find some references for a private source myself.

Since HD basically went all premium in their lineup, it’s now become more of a status symbol. There are still your old school HD guys out there, usually riding older HD bikes, but HD as a company has deliberately priced themselves out of the average joe biker market at this point, and so the banding is to say that they have arrived, or that’s what I take from it at least. The only thing saving the brand IMO is there is a plethora of used Harleys out there for people to get their hands on at a reasonable price for a motorcycle to play around on on the weekends.

I wanted the leather HD jacket that Mickey in HD and the Marlboro man wore when I was 15. My mom got me the polyester (whatever material) instead and I still wear it 27 years later. Instead of being jealous you can just buy your own.
