re: What's the point of police officers if they aren't to protect? Just serve I guess.....

should we not also decide what they should be responsible for?
We do, they are called laws and we elect the people responsible for making and amending them on our behalf.
I would argue politicians cannot be elected unless they are backed by one of the two major political parties.

Most important thing to remember is, the vast majority of police officers are below avg intelligence and that has consequences.
You don’t have to be Einstein to shoot a criminal. That’s what the police should be doing more of

Why should you as an individual be more deserving of their protection than another? Maybe you should actually read Warren v. DC and not sound like a butthurt ignoramus.

"Protect and serve" is now only a secondary priority to US police forces behind "generate revenue and meet quotas so the numbers look good"

I didn't even see your reply child and using cameras to protect property is only offensive to ignorant little dweebs like you.

I would love the benefits of being a cop too if I wanted to max myself out at 100K

Don't steal my words! Who said I claimed that at all? You are literally putting words in my mouth. Good try

baby boi, no one wants your shitty property. I just thought it was sad you had to do that, don't you? Do you not think it's v sad that you have to spend money on cameras to watch your worthless stuff?

Ya, makes you wonder why it's referred to as law enforcement...

Ok, what’s that have to do with topic of your thread? You keep throwing out all the same old cliches other people throw out on here. Cops are mean, cops shouldn’t be cops if they hate their job, then when people who are cops or know cops argue, y’all always resort to cops and how they get good benefits. It’s the same argument every time, and there is never any proof, basis, or anything backing yalls argument. It’s just random stories that we are supposed to believe

Hmmm...
Starts thread.
Is shown to be a dumb arse.
Calls people names and claims ignorance.
You are an idiot. Read more, post less.

So then you agree we decide what they are responsible for. Law enforcement officers enforce the laws.
Posted on 6/22/18 at 11:30 am to tigerdude3232
They are serving me by inforcing laws.... I don’t really need any assistance from them out side of that.

It's exactly what you claim. Nobody's fault but your own that you don't have the capacity to understand the 2nd- and 3rd- order effects of your wanting personal police protection.

Only because there are so many tPOS like you running around. Sad is that people like you think it's worth going to jail for that same "worthless stuff". I think of the cameras as potential entertainment investment too, busting ignorant litrle asswipes like you is comedy.

Thugs hate police..... thugs hate cameras.... thugs hate anything that forces them to act a certain way. They are totally against police brutality, but it never even crosses their mind to just comply with the officer to avoid trouble. Amazing.

To be fair a lot of govt employees hate cameras too. Some have public unions that protest against them.

They dislike them for the same reasons I do.... you can take a snipit of video and make a situation look a lot worse than it is..... as was the case in several incidents we have seen in the news where an officer has shot a perfectly innocent guy in a video clip... then after an investigation the officer is found not guilty.

Is that where his responsibility stops?

WTF are you talking about. They don't get tickets unless they are the omega at the station, they get free food and drink form local places, drive fast as frick around town, have the audacity to chase me down as a volunteer sheriff deputy lol. Local cop here raped his friends 17 year old daughter. ONE news story about it, then nothing......stuff like that. You are blinded by your friendships with the lowlife, dumber than average, leaches of society. Cops cause more local funding issues than any other group, well except fire fighters. Fire fighters in San Antonio wanted lifetime benefits and higher pension.....WHY THE frick DO YOU THINK WE WANT TO PAY FOR YOU TO BE RETIRED? RETIRE LIKE THE REST OF US, on your own dime.
