"Yeah, I like to cut my aspirin in thirds and only take 1/3 an aspirin when I have a headache...my headache doesn't really go away but at least I don't feel like I'm addicted to drugs."
Or
I take 2 aspirin because that's the dosage to get rid of the headache, just like a 6 pack is the dosage for when you want to drink.
Only time 1-2 is acceptable is when you're at a restaurant, or a dinner party....home on a Tuesday, it's 0 or 6

you're an alcoholic. it's okay. just bury this self knowledge and don't do anything with it.

I have two drinks every week day after work, no more. Helps me relax after work and we drug test, so no weed for me.

Grilling dinner- 2 beers. Mexican food- 2 beers. Pizza-2 beers. Out for dinner- 2 beers. Regular week night- probably 2 glasses of Cab. Weekend or special occasion- more beer or bourbon.
Some would say I might have a problem, but I'd say if you can't have 2 beer without having more, that's the problem.

It is situational.
Sometimes that third beer costs $1.14.
Sometimes it costs $11,400 in fines and legal fees.

There are AA meetings everyday somewhere near you, you should go.

Actually enjoy the taste of different beers. Don’t drink to get drunk anymore. Although I have tried to switch up to the brown juice lately

Being a binge drinker does not make you an alcoholic. That only makes you an alcoholic if you need to drink every day, in which case he couldn't just have 1-2, he'd be binging every day. I can go out and sip on a few though, in the interest of making sure I don't run up a huge tab, and so that I don't feel like shite for work the next day. These days I mostly stick to Michelob Ultra or vodka sodas - no I'm not fat, I just don't want to get fat.
I was a big craft beer guy, and when I wasn't drinking craft I drank Yuengling. Then I got pulled over for a DUI (that ended in wreckless driving) almost 3 years ago now, and really haven't looked back. I lost about 45-50 lbs very quickly... most scared I've ever been in my life waiting for my case.
