Unless you have severe symptoms, does the doc actually do anything?

I'm vaccinated but I'm almost certain that I have covid as my daughter tested positive the other day and I've been running a fever since yesterday.

I'm immune compromised, but fever, headache, dizziness and lower back pain are my only symptoms.

Some places of work require it if known exposure and development of symptoms.

So the only symptoms you have are 4/5?

Providing data to the government?

My whole family likely had it around Christmas and New Year...all the tell tale symptoms, etc and just took some Nyquil and rested and went on with our lives. Other than the fear mongering about it, it would have never occurred to me to get treatment from a doctor for what I had, and I sure as shite saw no reason to go stick a swap into my brain to test for anything specific.

There is no point other than allowing middle aged housewives to blow up social media with their "hey look at me" posts for the dopamine rush.

Whether you have covid or not, if you are sick you shouldn't be going around other people so knowing its covid does nothing.

Good for you. I'm in the military, so it's mandatory and I'm on immunosuppressents. Makes sense for me to take the vaccine.

You’ll know if you’ve got it. Just stay home if you feel shitty and stay there until you feel better. Pretty logical I’d say.

Bro, have you not been posting photos of your vax cards and covid test results on the gram? It's the cool thing to do in today's world.

Well if you test positive and die, the government will pay for your funeral.

What’s the point in going to the doctor if you’re sick?

I understand if your daughter tested positive and now you’re sick, why you wouldn’t get tested. But the way you asked the question, why did she get tested?

NOPE!

You treat the symptoms like you would any other run of the mill Cold you catch every year.

Your physician can prescribe you a cough syrup to help sleep at night and Motrin/Tylenol for the fever.

Why would I supply the damn government with any more of my data?
I take the census and I pay my taxes.

I currently have it. Was not going to get tested, but when my fever went over 102 I wanted to rule out the flu.

I had it for first time last January, lost taste and smell only. This time I was actually sick for about 24 hours. Fine today.
