I played a round of golf with a few 10-12 handicaps and a 20+ handicap. The military ptsd organization was set up to do a par 3 challenge on one of the par 3s. The 20+ handicapper was new to golf and rarely hit the green on a par 3. The lower 3 handicaps all hit the green and the high handicapper felt like he was gonna let us down. I told him to take his 3 wood to hit a 150 yard green. By god he put it on the green. We each won a $250 gift card to the pro shop which I used to buy a new golf bag.

It will vary based on state/local laws, so best to check with your local dealer to be sure.

But in LA, there's no gun registration. Only permit required is for concealed carry.

If you were buying it as a gift for someone, the FFL dealer would run the background check on you as the buyer. But then its your responsibility to make sure the gift recipient is legally allowed to own the firearm.

In a raffle prize situation, the winner would have to go to an FFL dealer to claim their prize. Dealer would run the background check before releasing the prize.

My wife

When we were dating and my wife was a college student she bought a single raffle ticket and won 52 $100 gift cards to various restaurants in the Lafayette/Acadiana area, so that was pretty awesome. It ended up taking several years to go through them all.

Close but doesn't count, a custom motorcycle magazine I subscribed to built/gave away a motorcycle at a show they hosted in July in North Carolina. That August I attend a show hosted by that magazine in Sturgis and when I get home my new issue is waiting for me. Reading an article about the show in July and my name was called to win the bike in North Carolina, but since I wasn't there they pulled another name. Had they done the drawing at Sturgis instead I'd have won. I emailed them with some pics and stuff from the Sturgis show and to my surprise they mailed me a bunch of stuff, a hoodie, a nice jacket, and I think a couple gift cards, so that was nice of them.

Vinyl copy of the Butthole Surfers album "Independent Worm Saloon". I was trying to win something else, I don't remember what, and it was a runner up prize. I didn't own a record player.

I really haven't won much.
