I won $1000 cash from Burger King during the Twighlight movie promotion they ran. Peeled off the sticker on my drink and thought I saw $10. Put on my glasses and it said $1000. I almost shat myself. Went inside the store and the manager pulled $1000 cash out of the safe after some simple paperwork and I was gone.

I won 2 free tickets to Jazzfest from a vending machine once, when I went to Jazzfest I signed up for a drawing to win a VIP upgrade and I won that, too. It was a pretty fantastic day.

I won $144 (or something close to that) on a $6 bet at the race track. Next best thing has been some pencils and gum at fairs when I was a kid. I generally have bad luck with games of chance.

Browning 12-gauge shotgun. Well, technically my mom bought that raffle ticket for my then-boyfriend/now-husband, so he won it.
My brother was pissed at my mom for not giving it to him instead, but she said his name was on the other ticket that didn't win, so hubby got it. My brother now admits that he would probably have just sold it and since it's being saved to pass down to our son, he's now glad that we got it.

During finals week sophomore year of college I had the stomach flu. I was taking a 40 question exam and was on question 7 when I immediately knew if I didn't leave immediately I'd shite my pants in and cause a bio hazard cleanup in the testing center. I clicked through the rest of the 33 questions..not reading a single word of any of them. I got a 92%
