Interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a mistaken identity case with a street cop who drew his gun on me at close range thinking I had committed an armed robbery.

Several that involved firearms. Few while truck and bus driving.

Hard to pick which was the most.

Probably the one of the bus ones because of the thirty people on the bus.

Came across a guy beating the shite out of his
"girlfriend" on a side road in Dallas. Pulled over and drew down on him...backed him off and transported his "girlfriend" to her home in south Dallas. Would not do it again.

Nothing as drastic as has been mentioned so far but defusing a couple of ranting lunatics in public places before.

High school soccer playoffs. First time making playoffs in probably a decade. Was the goal keeper in my senior year and fending off a freshman keeper who was honestly more talented than me. Game went into PKs and coach pulled me aside and asked me “do you want it or do you want the freshman to take it…up to you”. I ended up blocking a shot that won us the game. Hard to match that feeling of focus and intensity.

Last one is riding out a hurricane in a plant when things are popping off around you and you are calling the shots on what to do. Talk about stressful

Got pulled over for speeding. Made the decision to shite/piss my own pants to be able to give the cop a valid excuse for speeding. The cop didn’t care and gave me the ticket anyway. Left the situation with an expensive tickets and shite and piss in my pants and on my car seat.

Standing before the city council because the president of the university didn’t want to go so he sent me. We had a building (a dorm) that they were going to shut down because we didn’t have enough parking. It was a few weeks before Christmas and if they voted to shut it down, our small university would lose 110 beds for students. As a VP, I had to convince the council to give us time and to rework the parking lot to accommodate the “parking code”.

The school did not have a good relationship with the city and I had to stand there and hear the history between the council and the school. I had to acknowledge the past but provide good will for the future.

They approved us to remain open and we had to fix the parking which the school did.

December 18/19, 1989 after a brief airfield briefing I was on a transport tasked with leading a team into an area to our south to set up a temporary airfield to enable rangers of task force pacific to ingress.

I did not fold and the mission was a success with the eventual arrest of a drug kingpin by the name of Noriega.

I’m just gonna throw this out there.

Good job guys. fricking stepping up.

I am genuinely proud of the usually degenerate OT crew.

It’s scary and it takes balls to be the impacting player a something you probably weren’t involved in to begin with

I’ve been in a few and I’m a mixed bag. I’ve never felt like a winner for making a situation less worse. I have felt like a complete loser shite bag for not being able to make a situation less worse. That’s a shitty shitty feeling.

The inability to do anything is the worst feeling I’ve ever felt. Complete and utter impotence in a situation with real and terrible consequences.

I work a lot. I need to get some first responder training though. I’ve got a little through the military but outside of a sucking chest wound and drink water I’m not much help.

Good job degenerates. This was a good question op.

I will also add being in shape and being able to fight if needed will improve your ability to make a negative situation less negative.

When I was 16 I was invited into the bedroom of the girl I had a huge crush on for years, since we met together in 5th grade.

It was a little late at night, her house was probably 40 miles or so from mine. I was a new boyfriend so her house was new to me. This was the first time id ever gone to it. Her bedroom was directly across the hall of her parent's bedroom. She did not have a lock on her door. Her parents had already gone to bed, keep in mind that..I had never met them before.

So there I was, had the decision to smash with the risk of having a parent or parents walk in and meet them asscheeks first..or play it safe and possibly get killed in some car wreck on the way home and go out like that.

So yeah, I rolled the dice. Also figured if I was warmed up and had a sweat going, I'd be able to outrun her dad on short notice. I kept my keys in my hand and dealt with this pressure filled situation.

I’ll answer this one for my dad. About 15 years ago, my family was on a cruise and one of the stops was Tunis, Tunisia. The finale of our Tunis excursion was that they brought you to a local shop and you had the chance to buy some souvenirs. My grandfather bought something and the guy behind him in line got like $300 worth of stuff. Well the store accidentally put my grandpa’s stuff with the $300 order and charged it all to my grandpa’s credit card. The store says they can’t run the charge back but if they follow these two guys, the guys will bring them to a “store center” where they could sort it out.

My grandfather, being a WWII vet in his 80s at the time, starts following the guys without missing a beat and my dad then quickly runs after to join so that my grandfather isn’t going into who knows what alone. Mind you, this is my dad’s father in law, so there’s probably a little more hesitation to speak up about bailing on this idea.

My dad said that they were led into this little hideaway room off the street and this guy came down with an envelope full of cash: USD, Euros, you name it. Gives them originally like $80. My dad says they need more. I think they get another $80 or so. The guy says “Go up the stairs and you’ll get the rest of the money.” My dad thinks that’s enough adventure for the day and they bolt out of there and back to the tour bus.
