I was a “doodlebugger” in the late 70’s. That’s where we rode around on a marsh buggy and drilled 100’ holes every 10th of a mile in the marsh below Lafayette. After we got the holes drilled we would drop 10 lb charges of dynamite in with blasting caps attached to leads that we then wrapped around cane poles.

Had a separate crew come behind and set off the charges and record the data. Best job a young man could have. It paid well and it paid per diem .

ETA. Doodlebugging is an oilfield term.

Washing company trucks in a bikini, maybe more “bawette”
I appreciate experience.

I’ve got 30+ dirty company trucks if you pass the vetting process you’ll have plenty of “work”.

I drove an airboat in the 90s carrying the “blaster” .
One hitch 3 days after I left my B2B had a floater blow up right under his boat, folded the grass rack to the cage and messed him and the blaster up pretty good. They both got paid pretty good.

I've had dozens of jobs that would qualify but I think my bawest moment was accidentally starting a trucking company

I'd forgotten about this one. This was done for perspective enhancement.
I worked at the 103 truck stop for 3 weeks pumping diesel and cleaning the showers.

It was complete crap and the people working (with the exception of the owners) were the epitome of inbred, hillbilly bastard rednecks.

The truck drivers were nice and always polite.

I quit after 3 weeks as I was clearly out of my element.

haven't really seen a lot of "baw" jobs described(though I didn't read all of it,) most responses seem to answer the question of "what were your summer jobs when you were growing up?"

Grunt work for industrial construction company during summers in college. shite was brutal at times. Upside, all passengers drank beer on the way back to the shop after work.
