Wow. What's the Czech Stop? Bar? That must have been fricked up. How far away?

That whole situation was crazy. A perfect shitstorm. The whole town was built around that plant. And then the cause was arson? Or was reported.

Random, poorly aimed mortar rounds

Yes, but that 'plunk' thud sound as they are sent on their merry way is so oddly satisfying.
But I'm weird.

Reading the first page alone would've signaled the end to your inclination immediately.
But I'm in a charitable mood tonight so

1. Space Shuttle Launch from the VAB.
2. Top Fuel Dragster racing at Houston Raceway Park
3. Sulphur Citgo's Cat Cracker exploding in the 1990s.
4. 155mm Howitzers at Aberdeen Proving Grounds
5. M1A1 Abrams Live fire exercise PAO event at Fort Hood (along with Bradley TOW missile exercises).
6. F/A-18 engine being run up to full burner at NAS Pensacola (wake up call for 2 weeks...RV park there sits at the end of the runway where they test the Angels' engines)

That's my top ones.

Yep

We had this thing the battery would do after every FTX where someone would mimic the 1st sergeant and Cpt McTague...I had the BC's voice down pat. Even he couldn't keep from laughing at it.

Top fuel dragster is the correct answer.

Got to run hand-held camera at the start line for the 4-Wide Nationals in Concord a couple of months ago.

When all 4 cars hit the gas at the same time, they produced a shockwave that I could see in my viewfinder. It actually shut my camera down 3 times.

I can't even begin to describe how loud it was. The first time they ran, I jumped back about 4 feet.

The only thing I can think that would be louder is being near the big guns of a WWII era battleship.

By the way, ran across 1SG Jordan a couple of years ago. He's working as a VA education rep last I talked to him.
