a cracked windshield.

And how long should one go without getting it taken care of?

I think my girlfriend (no pics) is going for the record. It’s been months. What started as a single chip from a kicked-up rock has grown into a complex mosaic of jagged lines encompassing multiple feet of the windshield.

She’s always going to fix it “next week” despite my insistence that she act sooner rather than later. I feel somewhat in danger as I write to you from the passenger seat.

I've had mine for a year because every time I get it fixed I get another crack within days from an 18wheeler on interstate.

You're an idiot

This was a test to see if you would take care of it

You did not

You failed

Someone else is probably already "taking care of it".

Pretty sure they can repair a windshield if the crack is smaller than the length of a dollar bill

But if it’s bigger, you’re looking at a replacement

I’m not sure, but I’ll ask my chauffeur and get back to you.

I've got a decent sized crack in mine but it's not in my line of sight so I really see no reason to fix it at the moment

Mine has been cracked for 3 months. About 1' long on the passenger side. I don't need a new inspection sticker until 3\19, so it will get replace sometime in March of next year.

Should always do it when it’s just done, especially before it gets to the point of needing a replacement. Insurance typically covers the entire cost of the repair, so you owe nothing.

I got mine fixed last August so I could get a new inspection sticker. Not even 5 minutes after I got the sticker, I got on the interstate to go home and an 18 wheeler threw a rock up that sent a crack across the whole glass.

Going on about 3 years now. Covers about half the length of the windshield but it is low so I pass inspection.

Honestly, I'll probably never get it fixed. I know as soon as I do, I'll get hit again

I suppose that’s one nice benefit of living in an area that doesn’t have an inspection sticker money grab scheme.

When MS required an inspection sticker they didn't care if your windshield was cracked or not. The guy I went to didn't even go outside to look at my vehicle. He would hand me the scraper thing and a new sticker. I would hand him $5. He got to keep $2.50 and the state got $2.50. He told me on a good day at the end of the month he would inspect 2-300 cars.

Driving my last car. Never had a crack in the windshield after having it damn near 10 years. Within a year of moving to BR I get multiple stars. One develops into a crack. Replace windshield. Within a couple of months same thing happens.

Got a new car. In the first month of driving it, two rock hits. Massive crack forms in two directions from one of them. I'm not changing that shite until I'm forced to get a brake tag.

5 years. frick it. As long as it passes inspection, I’m good. I know as soon as I get it fixed it’ll just get cracked again.

Bought a new car and it got cracked driving it home. After my dad passed my mom gave me his old truck, no cracks in windshield ever. It is a 2000. Drove it less than a month then the obvious happened.

My wife's Pilot has been cracked for two years, will trade it in that way. Tired of replacing windshields.

Btw we live in Mississippi. At least no more inspection sticker.
