What’s the longest travel day you’ve ever experienced time-wise?

What’s the longest travel day, from leaving your house to getting to your final destination?

Mine has to be close to 35-36 hours. From the time I left my apartment in Bangkok til I got to my grandparents house in Shreveport.

We had the taxi in Bangkok to the airport, wait an hour or 2 to board the plane, an almost 6 hour flight to Seoul, a 2 hour layover in Seoul, a 15-16 hour flight to Atlanta, a 6 hour layover in ATL, the flight to Shreveport then ride to grandparents house.

I probably got 3 hours sleep during the entire trip.

I don't have any really long travel stories. This summer we drove to Amarillo en route to Colorado. So about 14 hours? We stopped there overnight and completed the drive the next day.

I traveled from my house in Alabama to Lusaka, Zambia. That was somewhere @ 40 hours. I drove straight from San Diego to Alabama. That was @ 26 hours.

20 hours driving to Tampa during the summer of the 1996 Olympics. Took the Macon Bypass but still added about 4 hours to the trip.

Pretty similar to the OP

Huntsville -> DFW -> Honolulu -> Guam -> Palau

I slept in the layover in Guam.

Kathmandu

I took a week long work trip to Kathmandu when I lived in Bangkok. It was an interesting place. We went in January, so it was close to freezing. Extremely nice people and really good food. For some reason I forgot, They shut power to the entire city twice a day. Good thing our hotel had a generator.

Drove nonstop from Jacksonville to Boston with a hungover passenger (she is an ex for a reason). Not nearly as interesting as other stories, I'm sure, but that was an 18 hour drive and it absolutely sucked.

I was in the Army stationed in Thailand. I went home to visit my Grandparents.

It was worth the trip.

9 hour flight from Frankfurt to Baltimore. 18 hour layover due to weather. Flew into Memphis, 15 hour layover there due to weather. I was 19 and couldn't rent a car. Good times.

Probably the one where all the travel was back to back without breaks was Pensacola to Santa Maria Navarese, Sardegna

(PNS - Atlanta - Rome Fiumicino - tain to Civitavecchia - 4 hour boat to Sardegna)

The most tiring was NYC to Miyazaki Japan which was about 18 hours on planes.

Drove from Maryland to Altanta many times. It's usually anywhere from 9.5 to 11 hours, depending on how many times you stop. Once it took us 19 hours, thanks to a freak snow storm that caught Asheville and surrounding areas unprepared.
