4 hours in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. I was 17 and got stopped for speeding. Had an outstanding warrant for another traffic incident.

My parents let me stay in there for four hours before coming to get me.

Taught me a good lesson

None.

The longest I've stayed any place where I didn't want to be, but it was good for both me and society, was five days in the hospital after major surgery.

Never been locked up. I tend to follow the rules and avoid situations like that.

Does that count?

Sure. Checking out future locations of possible residences is advised.

I spent about 3 weeks in the Memphis juvenile jail. Then almost another 2 months in a behavioral hospital until they spared my family total destruction.

I was an independent teen that in a last ditch effort to change me my parents had me arrested and charged as a runaway. The court conceded to them and ordered me to the hospital where the doctors who founded the program acknowledged I had no business being in.

We reached a non nuclear settlement where I would graduate the program the day before my 18th in exchange for not signing myself out Against Medical Advice and sticking my family, the hospital, and the court with $Millions in unpaid bills accruing for my admission as a minor child and /or ward of the state. Something I came up with that literally left lawyers and shrinks with their jaws dropping and scrambling to verify was possible.

That’s the last time anyone ever threatened to force me to do anything or threatened my freedom.

Good. Maybe you can help put down all these pit bulls eating children.

About 24 hours in a military blockhouse on the Yugoslavian side of the border with Hungary back in the 80s, back when there was still Eastern Europe dominated by the USSR. Was released with a 24 hour exit visa so we hightailed it for Greece.

30 days in a juvenile facility when I was 12. I was living amos moses wild man style and no one could catch me....until they did lol.

I showed up to a kids fishing derby...won multiple categories and then they got me.

Had my fair share of short stays in county as an adult but nothing nearly as long as the month I lost in the summer of 92.

DUI (wasnt even driving, had keys in possession though) and the judge thought I was too happy at sentencing and threw the book at me.

Same here

They threw the book at me

60 years for what I was arrested for. GJ finally charged me on lesser charges. 3 years but thankfully I was close friends with some connected people. Pled guilty and sentence was suspended counting rehab & drug court as time served.

It really opened my eyes to our judicial system and how corrupt it is.

What I did was in order to save my life and the DA put 60 years on me and I had never been arrested in my life and I was 50.
