I'm sure it's a stupid mark up like everything else on that receipt, but I just assumed that it's some specialty bottle or something.
It better have a lot of special 8 balls with it. $100 for a 12 pack of bud light?

A few hundred. Nothing crazy. A friend was getting married and it was his last night out.

personally that i paid for? $95. my wife likes shitty girly expensive drinks.
in mexico at an all inclusive i'm pretty sure we would have racked up about a 1500+ bill one night with another couple we went with and a lesbian couple we met there and challenged to drinking games over the course of 4 hours.
many dirty looks were had.

Looks like it actually is Magnum Grey Goose, which retails at about $140 - $160. The markup is still absurd.

Little over $3000 at AJ's in Destin. Bachelor party for a cousin, lots o' shots.

$4100 or so at a bachelor party in NOLA. One guy worked for a hedge fund and was the best man so he picked up the tab.

you aren't paying for the alcohol, you're paying for the..."I'm a baller" experience that so many people crave in vegas.

Probably a couple hundred.
I went to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles Friday and spent $100 drinking very casually. I think only had 2-3 old fashioned and 2-3 Cosmos and 2 Martinis.

I won $1000 on video poker and spent $800 or so one night, 2 or 3 bars. It's a terrible filling when you wake up but a friend of mine usually does the same thing when he hits it big, so it all kind of evens out.

it was just a bunch of sales reps and sales overlays (me). When I saw the bill, I was like - please don't make me pay for any of this. I was the new guy so I got out of it.
the largest I paid for was about $4k, but there were a bunch of customers present so it was no issue.

Personally I've been around a thousand a couple of times. Mostly graduations or wedding-related stuff with larger groups.
Once, on a business trip in Ireland, a vendor of mine was in for paying for a bunch of us with cognac, Cubanos, single malts, etc... He got pretty tore up and asked me to help him figure out the tab. The tab was 2,300-ish but he didn't realize it was in Euros. At the time the exchange rate was around $1.00 = €0.70-ish. He tacked on a 15% tip ($500.00).
I told him the next morning.
